Smt L C Akhila, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 2. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a joint memo along with joint affidavit. The joint memo reads as follows:
"JOINT MEMO"
The Petitioner and Respondent No.2 respectfully submit this Joint Memo as follows
1. We state that the complaint came to be registered in Crime No.0037 of 2026 by the Sampangiramanagar Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offence punishable under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita [BNS], 2023, and the police have investigated the matter and filed the Charge Sheet for the aforementioned offence in C.C.No.29918 of 2026, pending on the file of the Hon'ble XLVIII Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nrupatunga Road, Bengaluru City. 2. We state that the Petitioner was working as an employee in the shop of Respondent No.2, and that we are known to each other since many years, and on account of some misunderstanding a complaint came to be registered against the Petitioner herein. 3. We state that, on the advice of elders and well wishers, we do not want to prosecute the criminal case, as we have amicably settled the dispute out of the Court, and in order to maintain cordial relationship and harmony, we do not want to prosecute the criminal case in Crime No.0037 of 2026, which has been culminated into criminal case in C.C.No.29918 of 2026. - 4 -

4. We state that the said settlement has been entered into by Respondent No.2 voluntarily, out of his own free will and consent, without any force, coercion, undue influence or pressure from any person, and that Respondent No.2 has no objection whatsoever for quashing of the entire criminal proceedings pending against the Petitioner in the above matter. 5. We state that this Hon'ble Court may kindly take the present Joint Memo on record and pass appropriate orders in the interest of justice and equity.
WHEREFORE, we most humbly pray that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to permit the parties to compound the offence punishable under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita [BNS], 2023, in Crime No.0037 of 2026 registered by the Sampangiramanagar Police Station, Bengaluru City, which has culminated into C.C.No.29918 of 2026, pending on the file of the Hon'ble XLVIII Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nrupatunga Road, Bengaluru City, and consequently quash the entire criminal proceedings against the Petitioner, in the interest of justice and equity."
3. In the light of the settlement arrived at between the parties, I deem it appropriate to accept the joint memo and close the proceedings against the petitioners in the subject petition. 4. The crime so registered against these petitioners as well as the charge sheet so filed pursuant to the crime in CC No.29918 of 2026 stands quashed. - 5 -

5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER (i) Criminal Petition is disposed.
(ii) Proceedings in CC No.29918 of 2026 pending before the 48th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bangalore City, stands quashed qua the petitioner.
