When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for Government of Tamilnadu (Criminal Side) submitted that based on the complaint given by the defacto complainant, an enquiry was conducted by the 1st respondent. He further submitted that the petitioners were called only for the purpose of enquiry and was not harassed during the process. Further, it is reported that the issue involved in this case is purely civil in nature and hence the parties have submitted an undertaking that they will approach the appropriate forum to relegate their issues. Since the issue involved in this matter is purely civil in nature, the respondent – Police should not enter into the same.
