C.R.M. (A) 2689 of 2026
In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Basirhat Police Station Case No.98 of 2026 dated 05.02.2026 under Sections 21(C)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act;
Samiul alias Sagar alias Samirul Mondal Versus The State of West Bengal
Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty Mr. S.S. Saha. …for the petitioner.
Mr. Priyankar Ganguly Ms. Shalini Bairagi. …for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been implicated on the basis of statement of co-accused.
Learned advocate for the State submits that there has been recovery of 1200 bottles of Eskuf Cough Syrup from a vehicle. It has also been reported that the case diary reflects presence of call data records between the present petitioner and the accused from whom recovery has been made.
Having regard to the same, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present
2 petitioner.
Accordingly, CRM(A)2689 of 2026 is dismissed.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
