THIS APPEAL IS COMING ON FOR CONCILIATION BEFORE NATIONAL LOK-ADALAT, THE FOLLOWING CONCILIATION ORDER IS PASSED: CONCILIATION ORDER 1. Learned Counsel appearing for the appellant/claimant is present. Learned Counsel appearing for Respondent No.1/ Insurance Company along with its representative are also present. 2. After detailed negotiations, the matter has been settled between the parties. A Joint Memo signed by the learned Advocate appearing for the appellant/claimant (being authorized by the appellant/claimants to sign), the learned Advocate 3 appearing for respondent No.1/Insurance Company and an authorized officer, has been filed. The appellant/claimant has agreed to receive, and respondent No.1/Insurance Company has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand), in addition to what has been awarded by the learned Tribunal, in full and final settlement of the claim in the following terms: (i) The respondent No.1/Insurance Company shall deposit additional compensation amount before the learned Tribunal within six weeks from the date of preparation of award, failing which the said amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of default, till the date of deposit. (ii) On such deposit by the respondent No.2/Insurance Company, the learned Tribunal shall release an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) to the appellant/claimant immediately; 4 (iii) The balance amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) shall be kept in an interest-bearing Fixed Deposit Account in any Nationalised Bank, in the name of the appellant/claimant, for a period of five years. 3. This Miscellaneous First Appeal stands disposed of in terms of the Joint memo.
