Though the matter pertains to wilful, deliberate non- compliance of the order dated 25th November, 2025, passed in WPA 24906 of 2024, Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing for the applicant/petitioner would submit that the municipality had preferred an appeal from the aforesaid order, however, such appeal, being MAT 2234 of 2025, came to be disposed of by an order dated 9th April, 2026, modifying the order passed by this Court insofar as payment of interest is concerned. 2. By placing before this Court a copy of the communication dated 23rd July, 2026, issued by the applicant/petitioner addressed to the advocate-on- record of the applicant/petitioner he submits that the entire admitted claim of the applicant/petitioner amounting to Rs.46,16,094/-as confirmed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court has since been disbursed in favour of the applicant/petitioner. 2 3. Let a copy of the aforesaid communication dated 23rd July, 2026 be retained with the records. 4. In view thereof, nothing survives in the contempt application, the same stands disposed of without any further order. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.) 3
