Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. By presenting this writ petition, petitioner has expressed dissatisfaction with regard to investigation in connection with Narendrapur Police Station Case No. 619/26 dated 20th May, 2026. It is submitted that son of the petitioner was brutally assaulted leading to initiation of aforesaid criminal prosecution. It is also submitted that son of the petitioner received serious injury and medical documents are relied upon in support of such injury. 3. Prayer is made for transferring investigation to another agency or investigation needs to be carried out under supervision of higher police authority. 2 4. Mr. Mazumder, learned Additional Advocate General representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 5th August, 2026 of Inspector-in- Charge, Narendrapur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner. 5. It is disclosed in said communication that Pankaj Jha, Raja Biswas, Sumon Mondal, Chanchal Mohuri and Sourav Patra are arrested. During raids conducted to nab accused persons iron made improvised pipe gun and live ammunition were recovered which prompted the investigating authority to approach jurisdictional Magistrate and in pursuant thereto Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act were added. Investigating agency is also contemplating to take certain other steps. It is also disclosed in said communication that steps are taken for recording statements of victim under Section 183 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 6. In view of disclosure of steps taken by the present investigating authority, prayer of the petitioner for transferring investigation to another agency is not considered. 7. Writ petition stands disposed of. 8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
