1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for the following relief :-
“1] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly a writ in the nature of Certiorari, quashing the impugned Order dated 04.08.2026, issued by the respondent No.4, insofar as it relates to the petitioner. 2] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue to discharge her duties at the Office of the Commissioner, Land Records, Chhattisgarh, Indrawati Bhawan, Nava Raipur, in accordance with the earlier orders governing her posting and work allocation. 3] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly a writ in the nature of Certiorari, quashing and setting aside the Relieving Order dated 05.08.2026, whereby the petitioner has been relieved from her present place of posting pursuant to the impugned Office Order dated 04.08.2026, being illegal, arbitrary, contrary to the Transfer Policy of the Government of Chhattisgarh. 4] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief(s), which is deemed fit and proper
3 in the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case.”
2. Vide order dated 14.08.2026, learned State counsel was directed to seek instructions as to why the petitioner, a Class-III employee, having been posted in two different districts by the impugned
order (Annexure P/1).

In compliance with the aforesaid direction, learned State counsel, placing on record a copy of the order dated 09.09.2026 passed by respondent No.4/Director, Land Records, Chhattisgarh, submits that the earlier order has been partially modified, whereby the petitioner’s place of posting has been modified and she has been assigned additional work at Surguja for execution of software and other departmental online works. The order dated 09.09.2026 is taken on record.
4. In view of the aforesaid development and the modified order dated 09.09.2026, whereby the petitioner’s posting has been modified, the grievance raised in the present writ petition does not survive. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
5. However, liberty is reserved in favour of the petitioner to revive her claim, if any cause of action survives in future. Sd/- (BIBHU DATTA GURU)
