This writ petition is filed by the petitioner, being aggrieved by his discharge order as a Special Police Officer after serving for about four years. He submitted that similarly situated persons had approached this Court by filing WP(C) No. 7479 of 2022, whereby the writ petition was disposed of by order dated 23.11.2022 directing the Respondent No. 1 and 2 namely, the Commissioner and Secretary, Home and Political Department, Assam and the Director General of Police, Assam respectively to dispose of the representation. The representation so directed was disposed of by order dated 25th August 2023, rejecting the claims. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioners are similarly situated, and notwithstanding the rejection of the representation filed by another set of petitioners, the petitioners will also like to Page No.# 4/4 file similar representation, and upon the same being done the respondent authorities be directed to consider and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law. 3. Mr. R. Dhar, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate on the other hand submits that writ petitioners were not part of the writ petition being WP(C) No. 7479 of 2022. However if desired, then the same can be filed by the respondent. 4. Considering the prayers made, without expressing anything on merit and without issuing notice, this writ petition stands disposed of directing the Respondent No. 2 to consider such representation if filed by the petitioner within a period of 2 (two) weeks from today and thereafter pass appropriate order thereon. The respondent will consider the claims of the petitioner and examine as to whether the petitioners can be accommodated or re- accommodated as a Special Police Officer (SPO) by considering the services rendered. 5. If any such representation is filed in reference to this order, then the same shall be disposed of within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copies of this order.
