Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on careful consideration of the writ papers would indicate that the petitioners herein have filed appeal before respondent No.2 under Section 136(2) of the Karnataka Land - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010518812026 NC: 2026:KHC:40361 WP No. 23411 of 2026 Revenue Act, 1964. In that view of the matter, it is the duty of respondent No.2 to register the appeal and take decision in the matter under Section 136(2) of the KLR Act and the Rules made thereunder, after providing fair opportunity of hearing to the parties. 3. Accordingly, I pass the following: ORDER (i) The Writ Petition is allowed. (ii) The endorsement dated 17.04.2026 in case No.RA(NE)28/2026 issued by respondent No.2 is hereby set aside. (iii) The matter is remitted to respondent No.2 to reconsider the issue afresh under the provisions of the KLR Act and the Rules, and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, expeditiously.
