ORAL JUDGMENT Heard the learned counsel for appellant.
2. This appeal is filed challenging the Judgment and Award dated 06.06.2026 passed in MVC No.994/2024 by II Additional District Judge and AMACT, Tumakuru.

3. In the said judgment, the Tribunal has awarded the compensation of Rs.41,743/- with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of petition till realisation.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that, the appeal has been filed only on the ground that the claim petition has not been filed within the period of limitation of six (06) months from the date of accident.
5. On perusal of the judgment, the claimant has sustained lacerated wound over right chin measuring 2X1 cms. and incurred medical expenses of Rs.11,743/-.
6. The Tribunal has awarded Rs.30,000/- under the head pain and suffering and medical expenses of Rs.11,743/-, in total Rs.41,743/-.
7. Considering the amount award, the said contention of the learned counsel for appellant that the claim petition has not filed within the period of limitation

cannot be considered. The compensation awarded by the Tribunal is just and proper.
8. In view of the above, the Miscellaneous First Appeal is dismissed.
9. The amount deposited by the apepllant is ordered to be transmitted to the Tribunal.
