JUSTICE ASHOK S.KINAGI ORAL ORDER The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking for mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 11.05.2026 vide Annexure-E in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of SIDDARAJU VS. STATE OF KARNATAKA, RAJEEV KUMAR GUPTA VS. UNION OF INDIA, the DoPT Office Memorandum dated 17.05.2022, 28.12.2023 and 09.10.2024, as per Annexure-C, C1 and C2, the Government Order dated 17.05.2025 vide Annexure-D and the KPTCL Order dated 30.05.2025 vide Annexure-D1. 2. The petitioner have submitted a representation requesting to grant the petitioner reservation in promotion with notional effect from 30.06.2016 together with consequential seniority, promotional benefits and all attendant service benefits, if found eligible. Despite submitting the representation, the respondents have not - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010540042026 NC: 2026:KHC:42087 WP No. 24449 of 2026 considered the representation and pass any order. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.3 and 4 submits that, if reasonable time is granted, the respondents will consider the representation and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law. 4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for respondent Nos.3 and 4, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 11.05.2026 vide Annexure-E in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of SIDDARAJU VS. STATE OF KARNATAKA, RAJEEV KUMAR GUPTA VS. UNION OF INDIA, the DoPT Office Memorandum dated 17.05.2022, 28.12.2023 and 09.10.2024, as per Annexure-C, C1 and C2, the Government Order dated 17.05.2025 vide Annexure-D and the KPTCL Order dated 30.05.2025 vide Annexure-D1 and - 5 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010540042026 NC: 2026:KHC:42087 WP No. 24449 of 2026 pass an appropriate order in accordance with the law within two months from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order. 5.
