Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 1 year 3 months and although there has been recovery of 255 kgs. of cannabis as a whole but so far as the present petitioner is concerned, the recovery is 22.1 kgs. Earlier, the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected in CRM(NDPS)72 of 2026. Petitioner submits that there has been no progress in the case since the last rejection and unnecessarily petitioner is detained in custody.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that huge quantity of contraband has been recovered in the present case.
On assessment of submission advanced by the learned
2 advocates for the parties, I find that there is no change in circumstance. As such, CRM(NDPS)1651 of 2026 is rejected.
Learned trial court would expedite the process of seizure list witnesses.
