17.08.2026 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA Item No.296 CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS JURISDICTION Ct.No.35 dc. C.R.M. (A) 1889 of 2026 In Re : An Application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Manbazar Police Station Case No. 32 of 2026 dated 01.03.2026 under Sections 329(4)/115(2)/117(2)/ 118(2)/74/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (G.R. Case No. 383/2026). And In Re : Gurupada Mandal ... Petitioner. Mr. Abhra Mukherjee, Mr. Sauradeep Dutta, Mr. Arpayan Mukherjee, Mr. Swakshar Kumar Mondal, Mr. Himadree Ghosh ... For the Petitioner. Mr. Sagar Saha, Ms. Nayana Mukhopadhyay ... For the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. In view of the charge-sheet having been submitted, if the petitioner appears before the regular court and prays for bail, learned Trial Court will independently consider the regular bail application of the petitioner. No interference is made in respect of prayer sought for. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 1889 of 2026, is disposed of. 2 All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
