Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to refute the locus standi of the present petitioner with that of the accused who has been granted bail. Having considered the overall circumstances and the fact that the prosecution intends to rely upon 13 witnesses in order to prove its case, I am of the opinion that the petitioner may be extended the same benefit. Accordingly, the petitioner [Sankar Kumar Dutta] be release on bail on the same terms and conditions as was imposed upon Suroj Sk in CRM (NDPS) 1466 of 2026. 2 Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.
