Accused No.4 in Crime No.283 of 2025 registered by R.T. Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of NDPS Act, 1985 and Section 25(1)(B)(b) of Arms Act, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. FIR in Crime No.283 of 2025 was registered by R.T. Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru City for offence punishable under Section 20(b) of NDPS Act, 1985, against unknown persons. Apprehending arrest in the said case, the petitioner had filed Crl.Misc.No.1664 of 2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on
06.03.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court.

Material on record would go to show that the FIR was registered in the present case against unknown persons based on credible information received and subsequently, accused Nos.1 to 3 were arrested, and from their possession contraband article ganja totally weighing 473 grams was seized. In addition to the same, a weapon was also allegedly recovered from accused Nos.1 to 3. Therefore, FIR has been registered for the aforesaid offences. Accused Nos.1 to 3, who are arrested in the present case, have been granted regular bail by the jurisdictional Sessions Court, considering the fact that the seized contraband article is of small quantity. The

5. Under these circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively, subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following :
O R D E R (i) The criminal petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are
directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.283 of 2025 registered by R.T. Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offences punishable under Section 20(b) of NDPS Act, 1985 and Section 25(1)(B)(b) of Arms Act, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order

HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010237342026 NC: 2026:KHC:40379 CRL.P No. 5183 of 2026 and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. b) Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. c) Petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and he shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. d) Petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future.
