1. The instant bail application has been filed under Section 483 BNSS on behalf of accused-applicant. The accused-applicant was arrested in connection with FIR No. 36/2026 registered at Police Station Bhawani Mandi District Jhalawar for the offence(s) under Sections 8, 15 of NDPS Act, 1985.

Learned counsel for the accused-applicant has submitted that the recovered quantity in question is 9.6 Kgs of poppy husk which is much less than the prescribed commercial quantity of 50 Kgs. It is further submitted that the applicant is a female and has a family to take care. It is also submitted that the applicant is in custody ever-since 18.01.2026. It is next submitted that the prescribed period of 60 days to file the charge-sheet is going to lapse in a couple of days.

3. Per contra, learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the instant bail application and has submitted that there exists one criminal antecedent against the applicant.

Having heard the arguments advanced by learned counsel for the parties and taking note of the fact that the recovered quantity of poppy husk is much less than the prescribed commercial quantity of 50 Kgs; that the applicant is a female and has a family to look after; that the applicant is behind bars ever- since 18.01.2026, and looking to the overall facts of the present case but without commenting upon the merits/demerits of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the accused-applicant on bail.

Accordingly, the bail application under Section 483 BNSS is allowed and it is ordered that accused-applicant Manju Alias Preeti D/o Madanlal W/o Bhagga shall be enlarged on bail provided she furnishes a personal bond of Rs.50,000/- with two sureties of Rs.25,000/- each to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge for her appearance before the court concerned on all the dates of hearing as and when called upon to do so.
