By way of the instant petition, the petitioner is challenging the inaction RAHUL JHA Digitally signed by RAHUL JHA Date: 2026.09.09 10:25:12 +0530 2 of the respondents in respect of non-credit of the C.G.P.F. contributions deducted from his salary, non-furnishing of the relevant challans/records and the consequential financial loss allegedly suffered by him, despite his repeated representations in the matter. 2. On the last date of hearing, two days’ further time was granted to the respondents to file an affidavit of the concerned District Education Officer. Pursuant thereto, an affidavit of the concerned District Education Officer has been filed on 19.08.2026. 3. A bare perusal of the said affidavit would show that the grievance raised by the petitioner has been duly examined by the concerned authorities after affording him an opportunity of personal hearing and upon examination of the available records. It has been stated that the allegation that the concerned Principal had deducted C.G.P.F. amounts from the petitioner’s salary but failed to deposit the same is not borne out from the treasury challans and departmental records presently available. 4. It has further been stated that, in compliance with the directions issued in WPS No.414/2026, the Senior Treasury Officer, Bilaspur, vide communication dated 13.08.2026 addressed to the District Education Officer, Bilaspur, has clarified that the C.G.P.F. contributions deducted from the petitioner’s salary were duly deposited into his C.G.P.F. account through treasury challans. It has also been stated that the relevant entries have been made in the C.G.P.F. portal and the interest calculation has been processed in accordance with the applicable rules at the level of the Pension and Provident Fund authorities. The affidavit further records that the reason for the delayed processing of the 3 contributions pertaining to February to April, 2025 was examined and verified and that the issue relating to the Treasury entry and calculation of interest has been referred to the competent authorities. 5. In view of the affidavit filed by the concerned District Education Officer and the stand taken therein, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Director, Pension and Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh, by way of an appropriate representation, if he still has any grievance with regard to the credit of the C.G.P.F. contributions and consequential calculation of interest. 6. In the event such representation is made, the competent authority shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law and the applicable rules, after verification of the relevant records. 7.
