ORAL ORDER In the present writ petition, the petitioner has assailed the order dated 24.08.2016 (Annexure-A) passed by the respondent in Case No.L.R.F.(79)A&B(M)14/2013-14.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
3. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and upon careful
consideration of the impugned order at Annexure-A, it is noticed that, in identical circumstances, this Court, in Writ Petition No.12829 of 2023, disposed of on 01.04.2025, held as follows in paragraph No.3:
"3. In the normal course, the matter would have to be remanded to the Assistant Commissioner, since Sections 79A and 79B of the Act were omitted by virtue of an amendment to the Land Reforms Act, no useful purpose would be served by remanding the matter to the

Assistant Commissioner and hence, the impugned proceedings initiated shall stand abated."
4. Following the aforesaid judgment of this Court, I am of the considered opinion that the impugned proceedings initiated against the petitioner stands abated. Consequently, the respondent- authorities are directed to restore the name of the petitioner in the revenue records.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed.
