Mrs. Lipika Chatterjee, ….for the petitioner. Mr. Somyajit Chakraborty, ….for the respondent (WBSEDCL). 1. The petitioner complains of inaction on the part of the respondent WBSEDCL authorities in not erecting requisite number of poles for the purpose of effecting supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump. 2. By the order dated August 10, 2026 time was granted to the respondent WBSEDCL authorities to apprise the Court about the appropriate time when the pole would be installed for the purpose of effecting electricity supply in favour of the petitioner. 3. Today, Mr. Somyajit Chakraborty, learned advocate appearing for the WBSEDCL authorities has handed up to Court a copy of a report dated August 14, 2026 prepared by the Assistant Engineer and Station Manager, Paikar Customer Care Centre, prepared by the Assistant Engineer and Station Manager, Paikar Customer Care Centre, WBSEDCL and submits that seven poles have already been erected for the purpose of effecting supply in favour 2 of the petitioner and one pole still remains to be erected. 4. The report indicates that the said pole would be installed “approximately after 2.5 months i.e. 75 days”. A copy of such report handed up to Court is taken on record. 5. The WBSEDCL authorities shall erect the pole immediately after the end of the rainy season i.e. after 75 days from August 14, 2026 as indicated in the report. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
