This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5 and not to harass the petitioners and to direct the official respondents to ensure the security of life and liberty of the petitioners.

It is the case of the petitioners that they being majors have solemnized marriage with their own consent in accordance with law. However, the private respondents are not accepting the marriage of the petitioners and are extending threats to them. Without commenting upon the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 29.07.2026 (Annexure P-5) and take requisite action, if so warranted, as per the facts and circumstances of the matter, in accordance with law.
