The petitioner is aggrieved that despite order dated 28.08.2024 passed in WPA/436/2024, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has not sub-divided the joint land purchased by 35 persons including the petitioner. 2. Counsel for the respondents submits that several notices have been issued to the concerned parties, who have appeared and hearing is on. 3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances as indicated above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman mandatorily and positively to conclude the proceedings and if possible, to effect sub-division of the plot and demarcate the same amongst 35 applicants preferably within a period of four 2 months from the date of communication of copy of this order. 4. The time frame indicated above is peremptory since the proceedings are pending since 2017. 5. With the aforesaid observations, WPA/405/2026 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 6. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. ( Rajasekhar Mantha, J. )
