1 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA [ CIRCUIT BENCH AT PORT BLAIR ] *** WPA/394/2026 Abhilash Chandra Paul @ Abhilash Paul Vs. The Union of India and others Mr. Manas Ajai Sonkar … for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das … for the respondents August 07, 2026 [SR] Item no.4 1. The petitioner’s grievance is that despite orders of a Division Bench dated 04.09.2024 passed in MAT/52/2024, which was finally disposed of on 04.10.2024, the respondents have not communicated the order of cancellation of the licence to the petitioner to occupy land to the extent of 1.82 hectares at Survey No.29/1 at Sagar Dweep Village, Diglipur Tehsil. 2. The aforesaid MAT/52/2024 was disposed of by a Division Bench on 04.10.2024, which held that the petitioner has no right title interest of the said premises since the licence was cancelled. 3. The appellant was, however, reserved liberty to take steps or advice in accordance with law. 4. In the light of the observations of the Division Bench (supra), no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition. 5. With the aforesaid observations, WPA/394/2026 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 6. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. ( Rajasekhar Mantha, J. )
