Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the DPC meeting held on 13.08.2024, as a departmental enquiry was pending against the petitioner, his case was kept in a sealed cover. Subsequently, the charge-sheet/departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner was quashed by this Court in WPS No. 2138 of 2016 vide order placed on record as Annexure P-9. 2 / 2 However, despite quashing of the departmental enquiry, the respondents have not opened the sealed cover. He further submits that the petitioner is due to retire in December, 2026 and has already submitted a representation (at Page 87) before the DG, Jail, Ambikapur. He, therefore, prays that the said representation may be directed to be considered and decided in accordance with law.
2. Learned State counsel submits that, if the aforesaid representation is still pending, the same shall be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law within a period of 30 days.
3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records.

In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider and decide the representation submitted by the petitioner (at Page 87), in accordance with law, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order.
5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner. Sd/- (BIBHU DATTA GURU)
