The present first petition under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Section 438 Cr.P.C.), has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.70 dated 03.03.2026, under Section 409 IPC, 1860 (Section 316(5) of the BNS, 2023), registered at Police Station Amargarh, District Malerkotla (Annexure P-1). 2. This Court, vide order dated 21.04.2026, had directed the petitioner to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.) 3. Since the lawyers have made a call for suspension of work today, none has appeared on behalf of either the petitioner or the State. However, the Investigating Officer, SI, Jagseer Singh, Police Station Amargarh, is present in Court and, upon being specifically asked, states that the petitioner has duly joined and cooperated with the investigation on 19.07.2026 in compliance with the order dated 21.04.2026. 4. In view thereof, the petition is allowed and the interim order dated 21.04.2026 is made absolute.
