Hon’ble Alok Kumar Verma,J. This writ petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers :- “(i) Issue necessary directions to the Ld. District Judge, Dehradun, to decide SCC Case No. 12/2024, Smt. Geeta Kohli and others vs. Shiv Jewellers and another, pending before him preferably within a period of six months or as directed by this Hon'ble Court. (ii) Order or direction of a suitable nature as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the present case.” 2. Heard Mr. V.K. Kohli, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioners. 3. Mr. V.K. Kohli, Senior Advocate submitted that an Application under Section 21 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent 1 2026:UHC:2688 and Eviction) Act, 1972 (as applicable in the State of Uttarakhand) was filed by the petitioners. The said case was withdrawn by them. Thereafter, the said SCC Suit (No.12 of 2024) has been filed. The SCC Suit is fixed for hearing. 4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, learned District Judge, Dehradun is directed to make an endeavour to decide the SCC Suit No.12 of 2024, “Smt. Geeta Kohli and Others vs. Shiv Jewellers and Another”, as expeditiously as possible, as per law, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party. 5. With the aforesaid direction, the present Writ Petition [No.797 of 2026 (M/S)] is disposed of. 6.
