Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the directions contained in the order dated February 1, 2024 has not yet been complied with. Mr. Sivabalam, learned advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor submits that February 19,
2 2026 was fixed for hearing of the matter but the petitioner did not appear. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in the notice it was stated that the hearing will be taken up at 3:30 a.m. on February 19, 2026 for which the petitioner could not attend the hearing. On a query of the Court Mr. Sivabalam, learned advocate for the alleged contemnor submits that the hearing will be conducted by the concerned Tehsilder on March 6, 2026 at or about 3:30 p.m. He further submits that the reasoned order shall be communicated to the parties within a period of six weeks from the aforesaid date fixed for hearing. Since the date and time of hearing has been fixed at the suggestion of Mr. Sivabalam and in the presence of the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, there would be no necessity to serve any notice of hearing to the petitioner. However, the concerned Tehsilder shall issue notice to other parties in the meantime. In the light of the submissions made by Mr. Sivabalam, learned advocate for the alleged
3 contemnor, the contempt application stands disposed of. In the event the order is not communicated to the petitioner within the time limit hereinbefore, it will be open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
