JUSTICE ASHOK S.KINAGI ORAL ORDER The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking for a mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to consider the representation vide Annexure-'G' dated 19.06.2026, wherein the father of the petitioner requested respondent No.2 regarding promotion of his ward from Class IX to Class X. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010457492026 NC: 2026:KHC:41768 WP No. 20559 of 2026 Respondent No.2 did not consider the said representation and hence, this writ petition. 2. Notice was issued to the respondents. Despite service of notice, the respondents remained unrepresented. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father has submitted a representation vide Annexure-'G' requesting the respondent No.2 to promote his daughter from Class IX to Class X as per the regulations of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, which provides internal examination. Respondent No.2 did not consider the said representation. He submitted that a direction be issue to respondent No.2 to consider the representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. 4. Perused the records and considered the submissions of the learned counsel for parties. 5. It is an undisputed fact that the petitioner's daughter is studying in respondent No.2-Institution and the father of the petitioner submitted a representation vide - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010457492026 NC: 2026:KHC:41768 WP No. 20559 of 2026 Annexure-'G'. The respondent No.2 did not consider the same. When a representation is submitted it is the duty of the respondent No.2 to consider the representation and pass an appropriate order. Admittedly, in the instant case, the respondent No.2 has not passed any order on the said representation. 6. In view of the above discussion, I proceed to pass the following order: ORDER Writ petition is disposed of, directing respondent No. 2 to consider the representation vide Annexure-'G' and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
