1. This is the first petition under Section 482 BNSS, 2023 (Section 438 Cr.P.C.) for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No. 59, dated 20.04.2026, under Sections 21 and 29 of NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Shri Hargobindpur, District Gurdaspur.
2. This Court, vide order dated 20.05.2026, had directed the petitioner to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.)
3. Since the lawyers have made a call for suspension of work today, none has appeared on behalf of either the petitioner or the State. However, the Investigating Officer, MHC Paramjeet Singh, himself is present in Court and, upon being specifically asked, states that the petitioner has duly joined and cooperated with the investigation on 23.05.2026 in compliance with the order dated 20.05.2026.

4. In view thereof, the petition is allowed and the interim order dated 20.05.2026 is made absolute. The petitioner shall continue to join investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
