1. The petitioner has filed the instant petition seeking the following reliefs:-
“10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent to decide the representation within time frame of 2 months in accordance with law. (Annexure P/1). 10.2 Any other relief, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper, may also be passed in favour of the petitioner.”
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a land oustee and that his land has already been acquired, for which compensation has also been paid. He submits that the petitioner is only seeking rehabilitation in view of the acquisition of his land in accordance with the applicable rehabilitation policy. He further submits that the petitioner has already submitted a representation before the concerned authority, which has been pending consideration since 07.05.2026. He, therefore, prays that an appropriate direction may kindly be issued to the concerned authorities to consider and decide the said representation, in accordance with law, within a stipulated period.

3. Learned D.S.G.I. as well as the learned counsel for the State are having no objection to the limited prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner.
4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and upon
consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, respondent No. 4/Collector, Bilaspur (C.G.), is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner in the light of Annexure P/3 dated 04.01.2017 and pass an appropriate order thereon in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case, and the matter has not been adjudicated upon on merits. It shall be open to the Collector, Bilaspur (C.G.), to consider and decide the matter independently in accordance with law, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With this observation and direction, the petition stands disposed of.
