Heard Mr. N. Hoque, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms. U. Das, learned State counsel appearing for all the respondents.
2. The case of the petitioner is that an application under the RTI Act was submitted before the District Commissioner, Morigaon on 05.01.2026, whereafter the same was forwarded to the Co-District Commissioner, Laharighat, vide letter dated 08.01.2026 with a direction to provide the said information. However, the information has not been provided to the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, Ms. Das, learned State counsel, has submitted a communication dated 27.03.2026 issued by the Co-District Commissioner, Laharighat, wherein, vide document No. CDLGT/FPD.3/2026/3 dated 05.02.2026, it is seen that the petitioner has already been intimated by the Co-District Commissioner, Laharighat about the query raised by the petitioner in his RTI application.
4. A copy of the aforesaid communication dated 05.02.2026 has been handed over to the counsel appearing for the petitioner.
5. To be more specific, it is stated that the query of the petitioner has been answered as "the FPS ID - 130400330237 has not been transferred."
6. The aforesaid instructions by way of communication dated 27.03.2026 are

7. In view of the aforesaid fact that the query of the petitioner has already been addressed by the Co-District Commissioner, Laharighat, nothing survives in the instant writ petition and therefore, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
