Also heard Mr R J Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. The petitioner was granted interim protection by the order dated 28.01.2026. The petitioner had already spent 50 days in custody, by the time he was granted interim bail by this Court and the statutory period in the present case would be Page No.# 2/2 of 60 days. The Court has also noticed that the other accused in the same FIR had been granted pre-arrest bail. 3. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has already cooperated in the investigation to the best of his ability during the period of custody itself. 4. The Case Diary as received by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is updated till December, 2025. 5. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that further custody of the petitioner in connection with Mangaldai PS Case No. 216/2025, under Sections 115(2)/191(2)/318(4)/324(5)/61(2)/ 76 BNS, corresponding to GR Case No. 843/2025, is not necessary during investigation. Accordingly, the interim bail granted to the petitioner on 28.01.2026, is hereby made absolute. The petitioner shall appear before the learned Trial Court if, as and when summons are received. The petitioner shall not hamper or tamper with the investigation of the case and shall cooperate with the investigation, as and when necessary or called for by the Investigating Officer. 6.
