And In the matter of: - RAHUL KUMAR@RAHUL KUMAR SINGH …petitioner. Mr. Hillol Saha Podder …for the petitioner. Ms. Panchali Deb Sikder (Nag), SGA Mr. Reshab Kumar Mr. Rajdeep Das …for the State. 1. The petitioner is one of several accused persons. He says that he has been falsely implicated. There are several criminal cases pending between the petitioner’s family and the victim’s family. He prays for pre-arrest bail. 2. Learned State Counsel shows me the case diary. 3. I have seen the statement of the victim lady recorded under Section 183 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973). I have also seen the injury report and photographs of the injury. It prima facie appears that the injuries are serious. 4. The petitioner says that he will fully co-operate with the Investigating Officer. 2 5. That may be so. Given the nature of the allegations and the nature of the injury suffered by the victim, I am not inclined to allow his prayer for pre-arrest bail. 6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A)/622/2026 is dismissed. (Arijit Banerjee, J.)
