Sri.L.Shekar., counsel for the petitioner; Smt.H.R.Renuka., counsel for respondent No.1 and Sri.Rajakumar.M., Additional Government Advocate for respondent No.2 appeared in person. 2. This petition is filed seeking following reliefs: a) ISSUE A WRIT OR ORDER in the nature of writ of MANDAMUS directing the second respondent to initiate recovery proceedings against the first respondent by considering the application dated 14.10.2025 as per Annexure-B. Further directed the first respondent to comply the direction issued by the second respondent. b) ISSUE any other appropriate writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit to grant such

further relief, under the facts and circumstances of the case and an order as to costs to meet the ends of justice. 3. Counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the rate of interest awarded at 10% may be modified to 8%. When queried by the Court, counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has taken a conscious decision in this regard. 4. Taking note of the said submission, the award passed by the Controlling Authority insofar as awarding interest at the rate of 10% is concerned, is modified to the extent that interest shall be payable at the rate of 8%.
The Corporation is directed to deposit the amount due within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/- (JYOTI M) JUDGE
