Rai, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P assisted by Mr. Shahid Khan, learned counsel appearing for the informant. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Azadnagar P.S. Case No.46 of 2025. It has been alleged that despite being a huge amount given to the petitioner by the informant for purchase of a shop, the petitioner did not enter into an agreement. It has been alleged that the landlord had disclosed that he had given the shop on rent to ICICI Bank Ltd. and he had cancelled the agreement with the petitioner. Despite the cancellation the petitioner had taken the amount from the informant. Though it has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the allegation seems to reveal a civil dispute and that the petitioner is in custody since 20.09.2025, but regard being had to the nature of allegations leveled against the petitioner and despite the agreement having been cancelled with the landlord, he had taken an amount of Rs.28,70,000/- from the informant and the fact that the petitioner has several criminal antecedents relating to similar nature of allegations, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
