At the outset, learned State Counsel submits that the relief sought in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent authorities to convene a meeting of the D.P.C. for consideration of the petitioners' cases for promotion to the post of Professor. He submits that, as stated in paragraph 3 of the reply, the D.P.C. has already been convened and, pursuant to the same, vide orders dated 27.03.2021 and 24.08.2021, the petitioners have already been promoted to the post of Professor. Thus, the relief sought in the present writ petition has already been rendered infructuous. 3.
