Sanjoy, learned counsel for the appellant in the main appeal and Mr. H. Dijen, learned counsel for the applicants/respondents/claimants. [2] Vide order dated 31.01.2025 in MAC Case No. 22 of 2021, the Ld. President Officer, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Manipur passed an award of Rs. 33,76,600/- (Rupees Thirty Three Lakhs Seventy Six Thousand and Six Hundred) along with interest at the rate of Rs. 6% per annum from the date of registration of the claim application, i.e., 12.08.2021 till its realisation. [3] Being aggrieved by the order, the appellant/Insurance Company preferred MAC App. No. 4 of 2025. The respondents/claimants filed an application being MC(MAC App.) No. 11 of 2025 for seeking permission for withdrawal 50% amount deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company while admitting this appeal. [4] As per the record, a sum of Rs. 40,15,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two) has been deposited by the Insurance Company in favour of the Registrar General of this Court. By the order dated 25.03.2026 in MC(MAC App.) No. 11 of 2025, this Court permitted the respondents/claimants to withdraw 50% of the compensation amount deposited with the Registry including 6% interest awarded by the tribunal without furnishing security in accordance with due process. [5] By the present application, the respondents/claimants have approached this Court for modifying typographical error/mistake in 5th, 6th and 7th line of para No. 6 of the order dated 25.03.2026. It is stated that the amount deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company is a sum of Rs. 40,15,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two). However, in 5th line of para No. 6 of the order dated 25.03.2026 instead of the correct amount of Rs. 40,15,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two) as deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company with this Registry, it is wrongly recorded as Rs. 40,50,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two). It is prayed that this inadvertent error be corrected. It is further stated in para No. 9 of the order dated 25.03.2026, this Court permitted the appellants to withdraw 50% of the total amount of compensation including interest awarded by the tribunal. [6] Mr. H. Dijen, learned counsel for the respondents/claimants, submits that the claimants may be permitted to withdraw 50% of the amount deposited by the Insurance Company and by doing so, the nature of the order will not be changed. [7] Mr. Y. Sanjoy, learned counsel for the appellant/Insurance Company, submits that the prayer of the claimants may be allowed. [8] In the circumstances, it is clarified that in para No. 6 of the order dated 25.03.2026 in MC(MAC App.) No. 11 of 2025, the figure and word of Rs. 40,50,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two) be read as Rs. 40,15,582/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two) in word also and in para No. 9 of the same order, it should be read as the claimants would be permitted to withdraw 50% of the total amount of compensation i.e. Rs. 40,15,582/- as deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company. The words ‘including interest’ are dropped. [9] With these observations, MC(MAC App.) No. 1 of 2026 is allowed and disposed of. It is made clear that this order will be read in continuation of the earlier order dated 25.03.2026 passed by this Court in MC(MAC App.) No. 11 of 2025. [10] List the remaining matter on 10.06.2026.
