4. Mr. Pretom Das, learned Advocate with Mr. Abhishek Sen, learned Advocate appears for the Mal Municipality. 5. Petitioner claims to have completed construction work under the Work Order dated February 10, 2017 at page 26 issued by the respondent no.4 but has not been paid. 6. The petitioner shall serve a copy of the writ petition along with a copy of today’s order upon the respondent no.4, who after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner shall decide the issue in the light of the case made out in the writ petition and upon verification of the existing records and shall pass a reasoned order in accordance with law. 7. In the event, it is found that any amount is payable to the petitioner in accordance with law, the same shall carry interest @ 4% per annum since the date of eligibility of the petitioner in accordance with law until the actual amount is tendered to the petitioner. 8. The entire exercise shall be carried out and completed positively within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 9. It is made clear that, this order shall not create any right or equity in favour of the petitioner if the petitioner is not eligible to receive his claim strictly in accordance with law. 10. Since affidavits are not called for, the allegations made in this writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.

11. With the above observations and directions the writ petition, WPA 1585 of 2026 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs. 12. Parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly obtained from the official website of this Court. 13. Photostat certified of this order, if applied for, be furnished expeditiously.
