Also heard Ms. S Baruah, learned CGC for the respondents. 2. The petitioner participated in the selection process in the post of Constable (General Duty) in terms of the advertisement dated 05.09.2024 issued by the Staff Selection Commission. According to the petitioner, she had passed the written test and had appeared for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Her Roll number assigned was 5401003519. However, inspite of her successful completion of PST and PET, the petitioner was not called for medical test. She submitted her representation permitting her to appear in the medical test but the same was not responded to. Being aggrieved, the present writ petition has been filed. 3. The learned CGC submits that although the petitioner had appeared in PET and PST but she obtained lesser marks in Computer Based Examination (CBE) Page No.# 3/4 below the cutoff marks. The instructions dated 03.02.2026 received by the learned CGC shows that the petitioner had obtained 56.82934 marks in CBE when the cutoff marks is 71.01078 and she belonged to OBC category. 4. That apart, upon perusal of the writ petition, it is seen that in the advertisement dated 05.09.2024, the standard height for different categories as specified generally for Male is 170 cms and for Female is 157 cms. However few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in heights which are provided as under: S. In so far as the writ petitioner is concerned, her height was found to be Page No.# 4/4 151.07 Cms and in the certificate, however, it was mentioned that the petitioner was found qualified but in the chart which is mentioned in the Advertisement at Clause 12.5, it is seen that the categories mentioned, the petitioner does not fall. She is not a Schedule Tribe from the North East and she is a person belonging to OBC Category but in her application she had applied under the Scheduled Caste category. There is no relaxation in respect of OBC members. In so far as the candidates from Assam are concerned, the height prescribed for Female is 155 cms. Therefore, it is not understood as to how the petitioner could have been considered qualified under 151.07 Cms of height. 6. Be that as it may, even if the certificate is considered to be qualified, the petitioner did not clear the Computer Based Examination and as discussed she had secured 56.82934 marks and the cutoff marks was 71.01078. 7. Under such circumstances, we find no merit in the writ petition, accordingly, the same stands dismissed. No order as to cost. 8. The instructions which was placed before the court be kept in the case records. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
