1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have made delayed payment of pension and gratuity to the petitioner for a period of more than 2 years as petitioner’s husband died on 17/03/2018 and payment has been made on 25/05/2020, however, no interest has been granted, therefore, petitioner may be allowed to make representation before the competent authority for redressal of his grievance and her representation may be directed to be decided expeditiously.
2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
3. Be that as it may, petitioner is at liberty to file representation before the respondents/competent authority for redressal of her grievance as mentioned above within four weeks from today and if such a representation is filed by the petitioner, the respondents/competent authority will do well to consider and decide petitioner’s representation within 6 weeks from the date of filing of representation, absolutely in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned and speaking order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost(s). Sd/-
