ORAL ORDER
Heard Sri V Prasanna Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt Deepthi Alva, learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1, Sri B Bharath, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 2. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a joint compromise petition along with the affidavit. The joint compromise petition reads as follows:

"JOINT COMPROMISE PETITION FILED UNDER SECTION 359 OF THE BHARATIYA NAGARIK SURAKSHA SANHITA (BNSS), 2023"
The Petitioner and Respondent No.2 above named most respectfully submit as follows:
1. It is submitted that on the complaint of the Complainant (Respondent No. 2), the Respondent No. 1 Police registered a case in Crime No. 0158/2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2) and 318(4) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. 2. It is further submitted that after registration of the case, the wife of the Petitioner/Accused No.1, along with respectable elders, relatives and well-wishers of both the parties, approached Respondent No.2 and earnestly requested him to consider the difficult personal and family circumstances of the Petitioner and to amicably resolve the dispute. Respondent No.2, taking into consideration the sincere request made by the wife of the Petitioner, the intervention of the elders and well- wishers, and on humanitarian grounds, has agreed to settle the dispute. Accordingly, Respondent No.2 has accepted a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) towards full and final settlement of all claims arising out of the subject matter of Crime No.0158/2026 and has voluntarily decided not to pursue the criminal proceedings any further. Respondent No.2 has no objection if this Hon'ble Court records the compromise and passes appropriate orders in accordance with law. 3. In terms of the said settlement, the Accused No. 1 (Petitioner) has agreed to pay, and the Complainant has agreed to accept, a total sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) as full and final settlement of all claims, financial variances, and disputes arising out of the operations of "M/s Zenglo International". 4.
It is submitted that the Accused No. 1 (Petitioner) has paid the said sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) in Cash to the Complainant,

the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the Complainant. 5. In view of the receipt of the settled amount of Rs.5,00,000/-, the Complainant submits that he has no further grievances or financial claims against both Accused No. 1 and Accused No. 2. The Complainant is fully satisfied and wishes to put an end to all criminal proceedings initiated against the Accused Persons. 6. The Complainant states that this compromise is entered into out of his own free will, volition, and consent, without any fear, force, coercion, or undue influence from any corner. 7. It is submitted that the Complainant and permanently dissolved and settled all mutual business relations, employment conditions, and financial obligations. Neither party has any pending claims regarding salary arrears, damages, or accounting liabilities against each other. 8. The Complainant further submits that he has voluntarily entered into the present compromise and has no objection whatsoever if this Hon'ble Court records the compromise arrived at between the parties and permits the parties to compound the offences, if legally permissible, and consequently quashes the FIR in Crime No.0158/2026 and all consequential proceedings pending against the Petitioner/Accused in accordance with law. PRAYER
Wherefore, the petitioner and respondent No.2 most respectfully pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to:
a. Record this Joint Compromise Petition. b. Permit the parties to compound the offences, to the extent permissible under law, in respect of Crime No.0158/2026 registered by Avalahalli Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under

Sections 316(2) and 318(4) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
c. Consequently allow the Criminal Petition and quash the FIR in Crime No.0158/2026 pending on the file of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru Rural District, Bengaluru, together with all further consequential proceedings, in the interest of justice and equity. d. Pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case."

In the light of the settlement arrived at between the parties, I deem it appropriate to accept the joint compromise petition and close the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition. 4. The crime so registered against these petitioner as well as the charge sheet so filed pursuant to the crime in Crime No.158 of 2026 stands quashed. 5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER (i) Criminal Petition is disposed. (ii) Proceedings in Crime No.158 of 2026 registered at Avalahally Police Station pending before the Additional Chief Metropolitan

Magistrate, Bengaluru Rural District, Bangalore, stands quashed qua the petitioner.
