1. The petitioner says that about 100 to 150 people allegedly committed the crime of setting a house on fire. He had no specific role to play in the alleged crime. No specific role has been attributed to him also. Chargesheet has been filed upon completion of investigation. Other accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail. He also prays for pre-arrest bail.
2. I have seen the statements of witnesses recorded under Section 161 Cr.P.C. They specifically named this petitioner and other persons as having set a house on fire with several families inside.
3. In view of the gravity of the alleged crime, I am not inclined to allow this application.
4. CRM (A) 627 of 2026 is dismissed. (Arijit Banerjee, J.)
