Respondent(s) For Petitioner : Mr. Waqar Naiyer, Advocate For Respondents : Dr. Sudeep Agrawal, Advocate Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Order On Board 1.9.2026 2 1) In this petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs:- 10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to consider and decide the petitioner representation for compassionate appointment in light of W.P.(S) 296/2014(Smt Sarojni Bhoi Vs. State of C.G.). 10.2 That, any other relief/order which may deem fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case, including cost of the petition may kindly be awarded to the petitioner. 2) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner’s father namely Jalsai, who was working on the post of General Mazdoor (Category-III) died in harness on 27.7.2010 and petitioner, who is the daughter of deceased employee moved application for grant of dependent employment for the first time in the year 2013 and lastly on 19.9.2016 but till date, those applications have not been decided. He prays that respondent authorities may be directed to decide the pending application at the earliest. 3) On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents submits that object of providing dependent employment is to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family in difficult times whereas in the present case, petitioner, who is the daughter of deceased employee has survived for long 16 years therefore no case is made out for interference. 4) Heard. 5) Taking into consideration the fact that application moved by the 3 petitioner dated 19.9.2016 for grant of dependent employment has not been decided till date, General Manager, South Eastern Coalfield Ltd., Baikunthpur Area i.e. respondent No. 2 is directed to decide the pending application expeditiously, preferably within period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6) With the aforesaid direction, this petition is disposed.
