1. The present petition was argued at length by the learned Senior Counsels for the parties in the pre-lunch session.
2. During the post-lunch session, we were informed that the Lawyers are abstaining from work. However, Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh, petitioner No.20 has caused appearance in person. Mr. Sudhir Batra, Sub- Divisional Officer (Building), Estate Office, U.T., Chandigarh has also caused appearance in person.

3. Mr. Sudhir Batra, SDO has stated that he has sought specific instructions from the Deputy Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh to state that as on date, U.T. Administration has not issued any demolition orders against the petitioners. However, U.T. Chandigarh will issue a show cause notice to the petitioners or any other aggrieved person and a reasonable time of not less than two weeks will be granted to the petitioners and other similarly situated persons to submit their reply or to appear in person and thereafter, an order will be passed in accordance with law, a copy of which will also be supplied to the petitioners and other similarly situated persons. He further submitted on instructions from the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh that due process of law will be followed in this regard.

Mr. Sudhir Batra, SDO also submitted on instructions from the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh that till the above process is completed, there will be no demolition of the subject matter of the dispute, particularly in pursuance of the notice issued on 22.07.2026 by which demolition drive was directed to be carried out.
5. Mr. Vikramjeet Singh, petitioner No.20 appearing in person and representing the petitioners submitted that in view of the aforesaid statement made by Mr. Sudhir Batra, SDO, the present petition may be
disposed of.

Disposed of accordingly.
