By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondents authorities to regularize his services on the post of Accountant from the date of his initial appointment with all consequential benefits. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner who is working on the post of Accountant, has been in continuous service since 07.09.1998, i.e., for more than two decades. It is further submitted that the concerned department has already sought the approval and concurrence of the Finance Department for the regularization of the petitioner on his post. However, the petitioners' claim/representation for regularization has not yet been decided by the competent authority. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as respondent Nos. 4 to 5 submits that, if the petitioners' claim/representation (Annexure P-3) is still pending before the competent authority, the same shall be considered and decided by passing a necessary order, in accordance with law, within a period of 50 days. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and documents. 5. Having considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to consider and decide the 3 petitioners' claim/representation by passing a necessary order, in accordance with law, within a period of 50 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
