1 D/L 290 07.08.2026 Rohit, A.R.(Ct.) ct.no.237 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA CRIMINAL REVISIONAL JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE C.R.R 1991of 2026 With CRAN 1 of 2026 Riya Putatunda (Bose) Vs The State of West Bengal In the matter of :Riya Putatunda ..Petitioner Mr. Akashdeep Mukherjee Mr. Soummyadeep Nag Ms. Nasrin Nahar …for the Applicant Mr. Kallol Mondal Mr. Imransiddiqui …for the State In Re: CRAN 1 of 2026 This is an application for restoration. Having regard to the averments made in this restoration application, I am of the view that the petitioner has sufficiently explained the reason for non-appearing before this Court on May 14th, 2026. Accordingly, the order dated May 14th, 2026 is set aside. Accordingly, CRAN 1 of 2026 is allowed and CRR 1991 of 2026 is restored to its file and number. 2 In Re: CRR 1991 of 2026 The present revisional application has been filed seeking a direction for expeditious disposal of the proceedings arising out of Ghola Police Station Case No. 337 of 2024 dated November 6, 2024, registered under Sections 420, 406, 466, 468, 471, 506, 120B, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, corresponding to G.R. Case No. 7637 of 2024 (State vs. Titli Sarkar & Others), presently pending before the learned 2nd Judicial Magistrate at Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the charge sheet in the said case was filed on October 8, 2025. It appears from the records that the next date of hearing has been fixed on May 12, 2026. There does not appear to be any unreasonable delay in the conduct of the proceedings so as to warrant interference by this Court by issuing a direction for expeditious disposal of the case. Accordingly, CRR 1991 of 2026 is dismissed. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
