JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 30.03 .2026 Heard Mr. R. Sarma, learned counsel for the application. Also heard Mr. A.K. Ghosh, learned Standing Counsel, P&RD Department. This interlocutory application has been filed by the applicant for seeking a correction in the order dated 13.02.2026 passed in I.A.(Civil) No.347 of 2026. By the said interlocutory application a prayer was sought for to implead the present incumbent in the post of the Addl. Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Dispur, Guwahati- 781006. By the said interlocutory application the applicant sought to implead Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS who is the present incumbent in the post of Addl. Chief Secretary to Government of Assam, Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Dispur, Guwahati -781006. However, while disposing of the I.A. (Civil) No. 347 of 2026 by order dated 13.02.2026, the name of Dr. J. B. Ekka was wrongly mentioned in the said order as the Officer sought to be impleaded in I.A.(Civil) No. 347 of 2026. By order dated 13.02.2026, the prayer seeking for impleadment was allowed and I.A.(Civil) No. 347 of 2026 came to be disposed of. However, instead of the name Dr. J. B. Ekka, the name Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy ought to have been referred to in the order dated 13.02.2026 as the officer who sought to be impleaded as respondent No.2 in the accompanying Cont.Cas(C) No.272/2025. This interlocutory application has been filed seeking correction to that extent only. Page No.# 3/3 Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and upon perusal of the order dated 13.02.2026 passed in I.A.(Civil) No. 347 of 2026, this Court is of the view that in the said order, the name of Dr. J. B. Ekka has been wrongly mentioned instead, the name of Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary to the Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Dispur, Guwahati, 781006 was required to be inserted as the said officer is presently holding the post of Addl. Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Dispur, Guwahati781006. By this order it is directed to permit petitioner to file amended cause title reflecting the name of Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary to the Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Dispur, Guwahati-781006 in place of Dr. J. B. Ekka as was done in the earlier order dated 13.02.2026 passed in I.A.(Civil) No. 347 of 2026. Accordingly, this interlocutory application stands disposed of in terms of the above.
