The instant application has been taken up for consideration upon the prayer of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the core vires raised in the present writ application are substantially identical to those raised in a subsequent proceeding, being Writ Application No. 18359 of 2024. It is submitted that the subsequent writ application challenges the same subject matter is a more comprehensive and detailed manner. 3. It is further brought to the notice of this Court that in the said subsequent proceeding, an interim direction has already been passed allowing the inquiry to proceed, subject to the specific condition that the outcome of the said inquiry shall not be published until the final disposal of that writ application. 4. In view of the aforesaid subsequent developments and the pendency of the broader substantive challenge in the said subsequent Writ Application, learned counsel submits that the subject matter of the present writ application 2 has effectively been rendered infructuous. It is urged that the grievance and challenges raised herein will be adequately covered and adjudicated upon by the decision to be rendered in the subsequent writ application. 5. Accordingly, upon considering the submission advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ application stands disposed of as infructuous with liberty reserved to the petitioner to agitate of the pending substantive proceeding being Writ Application No. 18359 of 2024. 6. There shall be no order as to the costs. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities. (Uday Kumar, J.)
