The petitioner has assailed the notice issued by the Prescribed Authority on 30th July, 2026 fixing the date of meeting for election of the new Pradhan on 7th August, 2026. Since the said date is over, the writ petition has become infructuous and is accordingly disposed of. However, the Prescribed Authority and Block Development Officer, Kaliachak-III Development Block, being the 5th respondent herein, is directed to take necessary steps for election of the new Pradhan in accordance with law.
