Accused No.6 in Crime No.284/2026 registered by the Hebbagodi Police Station, Bengaluru Rural District, for the offences punishable under Sections 309(6), 310(2), 317(2) of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. FIR in Crime No.284/2026 was registered by the Hebbagodi Police Station, Bengaluru Rural District, for offence punishable under Section 309(6) of the BNS, 2023 against unknown persons based on the first information dated 02.06.2026 received from Saurav Kumar s/o Brahmdev Thakur, who was the alleged victim in the present case. During the course of investigation, the petitioner was arrested on 14.06.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.5302/2026 was rejected on 25.06.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. In the first information submitted by the alleged victim, it is stated that on 02.06.2026 at about 1.30 pm., his friends Suraj Kumar and Mukesh Kumar came to his room and thereafter, when the first informant along with Suraj Kumar, Mukesh Kumar and Bolu Kumar had gone out in their motor bike to have tea, their vehicles were intercepted by persons who arrived in a Swift Desire Car and inmates of the said car after abusing and assaulting the first informant and his friends, - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010456442026 NC: 2026:KHC:42457 CRL.P No. 9810 of 2026 snatched their mobile phones and also a cash of `7000/- and thereafter, sped away from the spot. 5. Allegation of committing aforesaid crime on 02.06.2026 is against accused Nos.1 to 5. So far as the petitioner is concerned, allegation against him is that he had purchased the mobile phones which were robbed by accused Nos.1 to 5. 6. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he is running a mobile shop and accused persons had sold the phones in question in his shop. 7. The submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has no other criminal antecedents, is not seriously disputed by the learned Additional SPP. 8. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of regular bail needs to be answered affirmatively subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following: ORDER The criminal petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.284/2026 registered by the Hebbagodi Police Station, Bengaluru Rural District, for the - 5 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010456442026 NC: 2026:KHC:42457 CRL.P No. 9810 of 2026 offences punishable under Sections 309(6), 310(2), 317(2) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts their appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future. e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed of.
