Present petition has been filed praying therein that the permit of three vehicles bearing registration Nos. WB 579154, WB 577059 and WB 576300 have been varied/extended in violation of Section 80 sub- section (3) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. 2. The petitioners are the operators/stage carriage permit holders in the routes Hilora to Murari Via Raghunathganj, Farakka; Berhampore to Raghunathganj Via Morevram and Raghunathganj to Malda Via Ballalpur. The routes of the permits are affected by the alleged illegal extension/variation of the permits of the other party. The permit holders having been allegedly given extended routes have not been made party in the present writ petition. 3. Learned counsel on instruction submits that at present he confines his prayer only to the extent 2 that his representation dated 9th July, 2026 be heard and decided by the respondent no.3, District Magistrate, Murshidabad expeditiously in accordance with law. Let the respondent No.3, District Magistrate, Murshidabad being the Chairman Regional Transport Authority, Murshidabad, Kolkata decide the representation dated 9th July, 2026 only after giving all the concerned parties (including permit holders who have allegedly been given extended route) an opportunity of being heard. The representation be decided within six weeks in accordance with law. The respondent No.3 shall communicate the decision to all the parties within two weeks. 4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 5. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Dinesh Kumar Sharma, J.)
